Trading is halted on the AVAX, BCH, BNB, BTC, DOGE, ETH, GAIA, LTC chains. Users are asked not to use the cryptocurrency exchange until the trading is restarted.
Thorchain developers have disclosed that there is an issue with TSS libraries that are currently vulnerable to a TSS security issue. All users of GG18/GG20 should reach out to TC core devs immediately. THORChain has paused key-signing until a patch can be released.
Key-generation was turned off first (see below), but new information disclosed to devs required an escalation to key-signing pause.
Some users have said that this is a TSS issue and not unique to Thorchain. Hopefully, the issue will be patched in 24-48 hours. GG18 / GG20 is relatively new cryptography and issues like these are normal and they will be fixed.
Until then, key signing, which includes exchange trading and LPing is paused. To be clear this is an issue which isn’t isolated to Thorchain, but affects other projects/users unrelated to Thorchain as well.
Right now, trading is halted for Bitcoin Cash, Binance Smart Chain, Bitcoin, Dogecoin, Ethereum, GAIA, Litecoin and AVAX.
